Cholsey, Papist Way

Work will soon get underway on a £220,000 project to upgrade the gas main network in Cholsey.
| Start date: | |
| Duration: | 12 weeks |
| Location: | Papist Way, Cholsey |
| Description: |
This essential work involves replacing 600 metres of ageing metal gas mains and services, with durable plastic (polyethylene) pipe, in Papist Way, from the junction with Reading Road to the junction with Honey Lane. Our work will begin on 1 March and will take approximately 12 weeks to complete. To allow room for manoeuvre of heavy plant and equipment, and to ensure everyone’s safety, it will be necessary to close this section of Papist Way from 1 March for a period of eight weeks. A diversion will be in place via Reading Road, Wallingford Road and Honey Lane. We have been working closely with Oxfordshire County Council to plan this work in such a way as to keep disruption to residents and road users to a minimum. Advance warning signs will be in place, while access to homes and businesses will be maintained. |
