As part of a wider £800,000 project in the area, we’ll shortly begin work in Ferry Road and Pennywell Road in Edinburgh.
All of our work is planned in close consultation with the local authority. Following discussions with the City of Edinburgh Council, this section of our project will begin on Thursday 23 November and will last for approximately four weeks.
From Thursday 23 November, Pennywell Road will be closed to southbound traffic for roughly four weeks. A diversion route will be in place for motorists via Pennywell Gardens, Muirhouse Parkway, Silverknowes Road, Silverknowes Road East and Ferry Road.
Two-way temporary traffic lights will be in place in Ferry Road, near its junction with Pennywell Road, from Friday 24 November for approximately two weeks. To reduce disruption as much as possible, we’ll be manually controlling the lights during peak travel times.
Parking suspensions will also be in place for the duration of our work to allow traffic to flow as freely as possible.
