We’re investing £120,000 to upgrade our gas network in the Peveril Avenue area of Shawlands, Glasgow.
This essential work involves the replacement of old, metal gas mains with new plastic pipe to ensure a continued safe and reliable gas supply.
Following discussions with Glasgow City Council, the work will start on Monday 9 October and will last for approximately 18 weeks.
Our work will begin in Peveril Avenue on Monday 9 October. During our 18-week project, we’ll also be working in the following streets:
Some parking restrictions may be in place occasionally, but access to driveways will be available at all times.
Further details on this project can be found in our project leaflet.
We understand that people can get frustrated by roadworks. However, the new plastic pipe has a minimum lifespan of 80 years. This means that when the work is complete, residents in Shawlands will continue to enjoy the benefits of a safe and reliable gas supply for years to come. We always aim to minimise disruption and we will make every effort to ensure our works are completed as soon as possible.
