    Coneypark area

    Start date: 27 November 2017
    Approximate duration: Six months

    Update: 20 July 2018

Our gas network upgrade work in the Coneypark area is progressing well.

Due to adverse weather conditions at the beginning of the year, our work was delayed so we still have a few weeks worth of work to carry out in Coneypark, Grampian Road and Birkhill Road.

All being well, we hope to have completed our project by the end of August.

We'd like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your continued patience as we carry out this essential work.

We'll shortly begin work to upgrade the gas supply network in the Coneypark area of Stirling.

Throughout the project we’ll be working in Coneypark, Kenningknowes Road, Grampian Road and Birkhill Road.

We are investing £270,000 to replace our old gas mains and services with new plastic pipe to ensure a continued safe and reliable gas supply to the local area.

Following discussions with Stirling Council, the work will start on Monday 27 November 2017 and will last for approximately six months. We’ll be carrying out the work over six phases to help minimise disruption. Some of the phases will be carried out at the same time, to help complete the project as quickly as possible.

You’ll find further details, such as where we’ll be working, in our customer leaflet.

We understand that people can get frustrated by roadworks. However, the new plastic pipe has a minimum lifespan of 80 years. This means that when the work is complete, Bexhill residents will continue to enjoy the benefits of a safe and reliable gas supply for years to come.
