We are working to upgrade the gas network in Tullibody.
We are investing £170,000 to replace our old gas mains and services with new plastic pipe to ensure a continued safe and reliable gas supply to the local area.
From Monday 25 September, we’ll be working in Main Street at its junction with Ochil Street for approximately two weeks. During this time, we’ll have temporary three-way traffic lights in place at the junction to ensure everyone’s safety around our work area.
On Monday 9 October, we’ll move further south along Main Street to its junction with Abercromby Place. We’ll have temporary three-way lights at this junction for two weeks.
Once we’ve finished our work in Main Street, we’ll be progressing through a number of roads alongside Main Street to upgrade the gas mains in those streets. This work will last until the end of the December and we shouldn’t need to use temporary traffic lights in these roads.
We understand that people can get frustrated by roadworks. However, the new plastic pipe has a minimum lifespan of 80 years. This means that when the work is complete, Tullibody residents will continue to enjoy the benefits of a safe and reliable gas supply for years to come.
