• Croydon (CR0)
    Warham Road

    Start date: 26 February 2018
    Approximate duration: Six weeks

We are working to upgrade the gas network in Warham Road, South Croydon.

We are investing £40,000 to replace our old gas mains and services with new plastic pipe to ensure a continued safe and reliable gas supply to the local area.

In consultation with Croydon Council, we will start work on Monday 26 February.

To ensure everyone’s safety, we’ll need to temporarily make Warham Road one way eastbound between its junctions with Barham Road and the A235 Brighton Road. A signed diversion will be in place for road users.

We understand that people can get frustrated by roadworks. However, the new plastic pipe has a minimum lifespan of 80 years. This means that when the work is complete, people will continue to enjoy the benefits of a safe and reliable gas supply for years to come.

    Update: 28 February 2018

Due to the current weather warnings issued for the South East of England, we have postponed the start of our work. Following discussions with Croydon Council and assuming weather conditions will allow, we have agreed to start our work on Monday 5 March. Our works will last approximately six weeks as originally planned.
