    Wroxham Road area

    Start date: 25 September 2017
    Approximate duration: 8 weeks

We are working to upgrade the gas supply network in the Wroxham Road area of Poole

We are investing £113,000 to replace our old gas mains and services with new plastic pipe to ensure a continued safe and reliable gas supply to the local area.

In consultation with the local authority, we will start this work on Monday 25 September. We've split the project into three phases to minimise disruption as much as possible:

    Phase one:

During phase one we'll be working in Wroxham Road and Sherringham Road for roughly four weeks. To ensure everyone's safety while we work, both roads will be closed and a diversion route for motorists will be in place via Gorleston Road, Cromer Road and Yarmouth Road. Access will be maintained for residents at all times.

    Phase two:

Phase two of our project will take place in Yarmouth Road and Yarmouth Close. This phase will last for approximately two weeks, and temporary-two way traffic lights will be in place in Yarmouth Road near the junction with Wroxhan Road and Bourne Valley Road . The lights will me manually controlled during peak times to help minimise disruption. Bus stops and bin collection points around our work area will also be suspended, but alternatives will be in place.

    Phase three:

The final phase of work will be carried out in Bourne Valley Road. A road closure will be in place between its junctions with Gordon Road and Yarmouth roundabout for approximately two weeks to ensure our engineers can work safely and a signed diversion route will be in place for motorists via Poole Road, the A3040 and Yarmouth Road. Access for residents will be maintained throughout.
