We’ll shortly be carrying out work to connect Putney Hotel to our gas network in Upper Richmond Road, Putney.
In partnership with TfL and Wandsworth Council, our project will start on Saturday 17 November and last approximately two days.
Our engineers will be working in Upper Richmond Road between Burston Road and Putney High Street. To ensure everyone’s safety while we carry out our work, we need to close Upper Richmond Road to motorists between these junctions from 4am on Saturday 17 November. Access will be maintained for cyclists and a signed diversion route will be in place for motorists.
Local bus routes that normally travel along this section of Upper Richmond Road will be diverted. Please visit TfL's website for further information about affected journeys.
We’ll be working extended hours between 6am and 10pm to complete our work as quickly and safely as possible. Any noisy engineering work will not start until after 8am. We’re mindful of those people who live and work in the area and we’ll try to minimise noisy activities where possible.
All being well, we expect to complete our work and reopen Upper Richmond Road by 5am on Monday 19 November.
We’re committed to upgrading our network to ensure we continue to keep homes and businesses safe and warm long into the future. We’re using the latest technology to minimise disruption as we work on our pipes in your community.
