    Langley Hill

    Start date: 21 October 2017
    Approximate duration: 9 days

We are working to upgrade the gas network in the Langley Hill area of Reading.

In consultation with Reading Borough Council, we will start work on Saturday 21 October and continue during the school half term week when the roads are traditionally less busy.

Our engineers will be working on the junction of Yewtree Rise and Langley Hill. To ensure everyone’s safety, we’ll have temporary two-way traffic lights in place that will be manually controlled to keep the traffic moving. We hope to complete this work and remove our traffic lights by Sunday 30 October.

We understand that people can get frustrated by roadworks. However, the new plastic pipe has a minimum lifespan of 80 years. This means that when the work is complete, people will continue to enjoy the benefits of a safe and reliable gas supply for years to come.
