    Station Road area

    Start date: 21 October 2017
    Approximate duration: 16 weeks

    UPDATE: Monday 6 November

Due to engineering difficulties, we need to extend the duration of our temporary road closure of the northbound carriageway on Station Road between Portsmouth Road and Ember Lane. We have agreed with Surrey County Council for this to be in place until Monday 13 November. As before, the original diversion route via Portsmouth Road, Hampton Court Way and Ember Lane will be in place for northbound traffic. Southbound traffic will be able to use Station Road as normal.

From Monday 13 November, the temporary road closure of the northbound carriageway will be removed and we will commence phase two of our project. During phase two we’ll be working in Ember Lane from its junction with Station Road to outside number 58. Temporary traffic lights will be in place around our work area to ensure everyone’s safety and allow traffic flow

We're investing £175,000 to upgrade our gas network in the Station Road area of Esher.

This essential work involves the replacement of old, metal gas mains with new plastic pipe to ensure a continued safe and reliable gas supply.

Following discussions with Surrey County Council, the work will start on Saturday 21 October and will last for approximately 16 weeks.

We'll be carrying out the project over two phases to minimise disruption.

You'll find further details, such as where we'll be working, in our customer leaflet.
