We are working to upgrade the gas network in the Queens Road area of Teddington.
We are investing £250,000 to replace our old gas mains and services with new plastic pipe to ensure a continued safe and reliable gas supply to the local area.
In consultation with Richmond Council, we will start work on Tuesday 2 January. Over nine months, our engineers will progress through North Lane, Park Lane, St Marys Avenue, Coleshill Road, Queens Road and Park Road in four phases.
To ensure everyone’s safety, we need to implement a temporary road closure, temporary traffic lights and suspend some on-street parking at times. Full details can be found in our project leaflet.
We understand that people can get frustrated by roadworks. However, the new plastic pipe has a minimum lifespan of 80 years. This means that when the work is complete, people will continue to enjoy the benefits of a safe and reliable gas supply for years to come.
