Glasgow, Gartnavel Hospital

We’re upgrading our gas network in the private grounds of Gartnavel Hospital in Glasgow.
In agreement with Glasgow City Council, our project will start on Monday 15 August 2022 and last approximately six weeks.
Our work will take place in the east part of the grounds alongside Gartnavel Hospital’s access road and pedestrian footpath. We’ll start at the south end of this road near The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre working our way north to the Great Western Road entrance of the hospital.
Due to the locations of our gas mains and to allow our engineers to work safely, there will be impact on the pedestrian footpath. Wherever this is needed, we’ll ensure an appropriate alternative route is available.
We hope to complete this project without the need of traffic restrictions in Great Western Road. If any restrictions are needed, we’ll provide advanced notice and updates on this page and on social media.
We’ll be doing everything we can to carry out our work with the patients of the hospital in mind, including using the latest technology to complete our work as safely and efficiently as possible.
By upgrading our gas network in Gartnavel Hospital, we’ll continue to keep hospital patients and staff safe and warm long into the future.
