Frimley, Church Road

From Monday 12 February, we'll be working in Church Road, Frimley to upgrade our gas network for approximately 12 weeks.

This work will involve the replacement of old metal gas pipes with new plastic pipes to ensure we can continue to provide the local community with a safe and efficient gas supply.

I & G Contractors will be completing this project on our behalf.

Update: Monday 12 February

Due to an emergency lane closure on our diversion route, we have agreed with the local authority to change our traffic management plans. This replaces our original plans as detailed below.

  • Grove Cross Road will be closed from Monday 12 February along with temporary two-way traffic lights on Church Road for approximately two weeks.
  • We will then use temporary three-way traffic lights along Church Road at its junction of Apex Drive.

Preparing our work site from Monday 22 January

Before starting this work and to reduce the amount of time to complete the work, we will be starting preparation on Monday 22 January.

Although there will be no traffic management in place, the bus stop may need to be suspended.

Original plans: road closure from Monday 12 February

From Monday 12 February, to safely complete our work we will need to temporarily close Church Road in Frimley from its junction with Frimley High Street to the end of Grove Cross Road for approximately twelve weeks.

This closure will move as we complete each section of work. The residents of Apex Drive, Chancellor Drive and Chantry Court will need to turn left or right on to Church Road, depending on the location of the road closure.

A signed diversion will be in place for road users and access will be maintained for residents and businesses.
