Before you use your new supply, you need to establish whether you have a gas supplier for your property. The Energy Networks Association (ENA) new supply leaflet tells you what you need to do.

It’s illegal for anyone to carry out any work on our network (including new connections and alterations) unless they’re suitably qualified under the Gas Industry Registration Scheme. A list of registered providers can be found on the Lloyds Register website. We’ll need to approve any third party's work in advance to make sure they meet all our safety requirements. If they go ahead without our approval, we may have to cut off your gas and bill you for any resulting repair work. You can find further details in this leaflet from the ENA.
