We are aware that a number of gas supplies were lost affecting properties in the Kincardine area of Fife.
We would like to say a sincere thank you to the local community for your patience and understanding this week. We know it’s hard being without your gas supply, and your support has been greatly appreciated by our engineers.
We’re continuing to revisit all affected properties to restore gas supplies.
There are still over 100 homes we’re unable to gain access to. If you or someone you know is yet to be reconnected, please call us on 0800 912 1717 at your earliest convenience to arrange a visit from one of our engineers.
For safety reasons, please do not try to turn your gas supply on yourself.
Our customer hub at the Community Centre will close at 5pm today. If you have any questions or concerns after this time, you can speak with us by calling the 24-hour number above.

Our engineers worked into the evening and visited each affected property to turn on gas supplies.
There are just over 300 homes which we were unable to gain access to. We are back on site this morning and are re-visiting those properties to reinstate supplies and carry out safety checks.

We've made great progress on site today and our engineers have visited more than half of the affected properties to restore supplies.
If you were out when we tried to visit you, we will try again as soon as possible.
We'll continue visiting homes into the evening, prioritising those who are on the PSR. We'll be back on site first thing tomorrow morning to continue reconnecting supplies to the properties we are unable to reach today.

Our work progressed well through the night and, all being well, we are hoping to begin reconnecting gas supplies to properties later today.
Please do not try to turn on your own gas supply. We will visit you to carry out essential safety checks and reconnect you.
There are approximately 30 homes which we've not been able to gain access to. It's really important that we get access as soon as possible, to turn off their gas supplies at the meter. We are re-visiting these properties this morning.

You will receive compensation for the time you were without your gas supply. Each household will receive £70 for each complete 24-hour period that gas wasn't available. This compensation is paid through your energy supplier and will appear as a credit on your next bill. There is no need to apply for this as it’s paid automatically, usually within four-weeks.

Our engineers remain on site and an emergency repair to our gas main has begun.
Whilst this work is taking place, we are continuing to visit each affected property individually to turn off the gas supply at the meter.
We have now called at the majority of homes and are currently re-visiting those where there was no answer.
Once our repair is completed, we will be able to begin restoring gas supplies.
It’s currently too early to say when that will be, however we’ll continue to keep you updated here.

Gas supplies to approximately 1,290 properties in the Kincardine area of Fife have been affected due to damage on our gas network.
Our specialist team of engineers are currently investigating the cause and assessing the damage.
We will now be visiting all affected properties to turn off their gas supplies at the meter - please wait for one of our engineers and do not try to do this yourself. If you smell gas at any time, indoors or outdoors, please call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 right away.
It is important that you do not try to use your gas supply at this time.
We will shortly be opening a Customer Centre at Kincardine Community Centre, Anderson Lane. Our Customer Service Team will be there from 1pm to offer support and answer any questions you have.
