We're preparing to carry out essential network upgrades in the Coulsdon Road area to ensure nearby homes and businesses continue to receive a safe and reliable gas supply.
Our engineers will be replacing our old metal mains with new plastic pipe from Monday 3 November. This work is expected to last approximately three weeks.
To ensure everyone's safety around our site, we will need to implement some temporary traffic measures as indicated below.
- Temporary traffic lights will be installed at the Stanley Street and Coulsdon Road junction.
- A rolling road closure will be in place along Banstead Road as our engineers progress.
Access will be maintained to properties located within the closure area. All other motorists should follow the signed diversion route.
We appreciate roadworks can be frustrating. However, the new plastic pipe has a lifespan of approximately 80 years. This means once our work is done, Caterham residents and businesses will be able to enjoy a safe and reliable gas supply for many years to come.
