Oxted, Silkham Road and Bluehouse Lane

Updated - Wednesday 29 April

We know that during the coronavirus outbreak, our communities will rely on us now more than ever to keep them safe and warm. The safety of our communities and employees remains our number one priority.

For this reason, and following the latest Government advice to stay at home, we're making changes to our usual ways of working. At this time, we'll only be carrying out safety-critical and emergency work to our gas network.

We need to carry out safety-critical work to upgrade the gas network in the Granville Road area now, rather than wait until the pandemic passes, to ensure the local community continues to receive a safe and reliable gas supply.

From Monday 4 May, our engineers will be working in Granville Road at its junction with Bluehouse Lane.

For everyone's safety, we need to close Granville Road to motorists around our site. A signed diversion will be in place via Gresham Road and Bluehouse Lane.

During this time, we'll also be working in Bluehouse Lane outside properties 170 and 172. We'll need to install temporary traffic lights around this work area to maintain safe traffic flow.

Bus stops will be suspended within our zone of work. Pedestrian and resident access will be maintained around our site.
