Renewable gas connections

Green gases, such as biomethane, play a role in decarbonising the UK gas network. SGN is increasing the volume of renewable energy sources connected to its network to help deliver its ambition of supplying one million homes with green gas by 2031.
We already supply enough green gas for the equivalent of 360,000 homes in the UK.

We have ambitions to connect enough green gas production facilities to supply the equivalent of 450,000 homes by the end of the RIIO-GD2 and one million homes by the end of RIIO-GD3.
