A year of delivery

SGN today published its Annual Report and Financial Statements for the year ending 31 March 2026, showcasing a year of delivery across safety, customer service, network investment and decarbonisation.

The report highlights SGN's strongest operational performance of the five-year RIIO-GD2 regulatory period. It also shows continued progress in delivering safe, secure and increasingly sustainable energy for more than six million homes and businesses across Scotland and southern England.

SGN maintained 99.99% network reliability and exceeded Ofgem's minimum emergency response standards across all four service categories. It achieved industry-leading customer satisfaction scores of 9.56 in Scotland and 9.49 in southern England, ranking first and second respectively in the customer service scores among the gas networks. SGN also supported over 600,000 vulnerable households.

Collectively, the figures demonstrate our role in maintaining a safe, resilient and reliable gas network that forms a vital part of the UK's critical national infrastructure, while continuing to prepare for a lower-carbon energy future.

SGN's CEO Simon Kilonback said: "These results reflect a year of strong delivery, combining excellent operational performance with increased network investment, all underpinned by a resilient financial position.

SGN exits the five-year period in impressive shape. Our Scotland network has been number one for customer satisfaction for ten consecutive years, and with our Southern network moving up to second place, it demonstrates our commitment to high performance is taking hold across the whole business.
