SGN’s Customer Service team has been shortlisted in six categories at this year’s CCA Global Excellence Awards, which recognise outstanding performance in customer experience, innovation and social impact across the international contact centre industry.

Our shortlistings highlight the breadth of work taking place across our Customer Service function, from supporting customers in vulnerable situations to using insight to drive continuous improvement and delivering meaningful engagement with communities.

The six categories we’ve been shortlisted for are:

  • Back Office Team of the Year
  • Best Use of Customer Insight and Management Information
  • Complaints Team of the Year
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Customer Engagement Team of the Year
  • Most Effective Vulnerability Strategy

The CCA Global Excellence Awards are widely regarded and celebrate organisations that deliver outstanding service while continually evolving to meet customer needs. Being shortlisted across multiple categories is a significant achievement and reflects the dedication, professionalism and care shown by our teams every day.

“I’m extremely proud to see our Customer Service team recognised across six categories at the CCA Global Excellence Awards. Every day, our colleagues support customers through some of their most challenging moments, often when they are vulnerable or anxious. Their commitment to delivering empathetic, professional and consistently high‑quality support is exceptional, and this recognition reflects the dedication they bring to every interaction.”

The winners will be announced at the CCA Global Excellence Awards ceremony, which will be held on 23 April in Glasgow.

SGN’s five-year vulnerability support strategy guides our activity to ensure we’re delivering genuine and valuable impact to those most in need of help to stay safe and warm at home. We originally set an ambition to help 250,000 vulnerable customers use energy safely, efficiently and affordably between 2021 and 2026.

We’ve developed an extensive partnership network to help us deliver a comprehensive range of programmes to support vulnerable households up and down the country.

Since April 2021 our teams have helped more than 1,169,827 households stay safe, warm and well through collaboration with over 144 community partners.
