Essential gas main upgrade in Renfrew
As part of the overall project to regenerate Clyde waterfront, we are working to upgrade the gas network in the Argyle Avenue and Inchinnan Road area of Renfrew.
The work, which starts on 7 July and will be ongoing until 8 August, involves diverting a gas main to ensure local homes and businesses continue to receive a reliable gas supply.
Due to the location of the gas pipes in the roads, and for everyone’s safety, it has been agreed that 4-way traffic lights will be used as we work near the Inchinnan Road roundabout. These will be located on McClue Road, Argyll Avenue, and Inchinnan Road, on either side of the roundabout. A lane redirection will also be in place on Inchinnan Road to manage traffic flow.
We appreciate how disruptive traffic management can be for residents and road users. Our engineers are committed to doing everything they can to complete these works as quickly and as safely as possible.
If you have any specific questions regarding these works, please email customer@sgn.co.uk.
We’re sorry for the inconvenience this work will cause, and thank the local Renfrew community for their patience and understanding.
