We're carrying out essential upgrades to our gas network in the Whalley Road area of Bletchley. This work has been planned in close consultation with the local authorities and will ensure a continued safe and reliable gas supply to nearby homes and businesses.
Our engineers started work in Sherwood Drive on Monday 27 October, for approximately four weeks. Temporary multi-way traffic lights are in place from outside 176 Sherwood Drive to the entrance of Challenge House.
Whalley Drive
We will start work on Whalley Drive from Monday 17 November until Friday 19 December, asking road users to ‘give and take’ around our worksite.
Our engineers will return to Whalley Drive after the festive break on Monday 5 January until the end of January 2026. We will need to install temporary multi-way traffic lights between 147 and 168 Whalley Drive to allow road users to safely pass our worksite.
From Monday 5 January for approximately two weeks, the temporary multi-way traffic lights will be at the junction of Sherwood Drive and then at the junction of Archers Wells.
For the south section of Whalley Drive, we will need to install temporary two-way traffic lights between property number 99 and the junction of Brickley Lane from February 2026.
