Frimley Road, Camberley

We are shortly starting work to complete a project to upgrade the gas network in Camberley.

The work, which will be ongoing until the end of August, involves replacing old, metal pipes with new longer lasting plastic ones to ensure local homes and businesses continue to receive a reliable gas supply.

We originally started the work in April, and to minimise disruption to the local community, we are completing the project during the school holidays.

Due to the location of the gas pipes in the roads, and for everyone’s safety, the following traffic management will be in place:

Frimley Road

From 21 July for approximately six weeks - we need to use temporary multi-way traffic lights between the junction of James Road and Bristow Road.

Watchetts Drive and Watchetts Lake Close

From 23 July until the end of August – we will need to close Watchetts Drive, at its junction with Frimley Road. A diversion will be in place and access will be maintained for residents and businesses.

We appreciate how disruptive road closures are for residents and road users. Our engineers are committed to doing everything they can to complete these works as quickly and as safely as possible.

If you have any specific questions regarding these works, please email customer@sgn.co.uk.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience this work will cause, and thank local people for their patience and understanding.
