Haddington, A199

We're carrying out essential reinforcement upgrades to our gas network on the A199 in Haddington, to ensure nearby homes and businesses continue to receive a safe and reliable gas supply.

Our ten-week project will begin from Tuesday 15 July.

The start date of our project has been carefully planned to avoid clashing with expected high traffic volumes linked to the upcoming Scottish Open.

To ensure everyone's safety while we work, we need to install temporary traffic lights on the roundabout between Haldane Avenue and the A199.

The lights will ensure a safe and maintained traffic flow past our working area and excavations in the carriageway. They will be in operation for the ten-week duration of our work.

Aberlady Road will also be closed at its junction with the roundabout and a local diversion route will be in place for motorists.

We understand this is a busy route and that roadworks can be frustrating. We'll be working as quickly as we can to complete our work and fully re-open the road.

Once our work is complete, the Haddington community will enjoy the benefits of a safe and reliable gas supply for many years to come.
