Horsham, Albion Way

We're preparing to return to the Albion Way area of Horsham to complete essential gas network upgrades we were unable to finish in May 2025 due to engineering difficulties.

Replacing our old metal mains with new plastic pipe will ensure a continued safe and reliable supply of gas is delivered to homes and businesses across Horsham.

Working to keep you safe and warm

What we're doing

We'll be replacing our old metal pipes in the Albion Way area. This is part of our 30-year programme of work to replace our old mains, reaching the end of their useful lives, with new, reliable plastic pipe.

When we're working

Our work will resume on Monday 26 January. It will be carried out in two phases lasting an approximate six weeks combined.

Where we'll be working

Albion Way

  • Our engineers will be working on both sides of Albion Way from Monday 26 January.
  • This work is expected to last approximately four weeks.
  • We'll be replacing our old pipes between its junctions with Springfield Road and Springfield Park Avenue.
  • To complete this work safely, we'll need to close one lane in each direction for the duration of our work.

West Parade

  • On Monday 9 February, we'll begin work on West Parade.
  • Our engineers will be upgrading our network in West Parade for approximately four weeks.
  • We'll be working at its junction with B2237 North Parade. For everyone's safety, West Parade will be shut to motorists at this junction. Signed diversions will be in place.
  • The existing one-way order will be lifted to allow residents to access properties from Trafalgar Road.

We understand roadworks can be frustrating. However, this work is essential to ensuring nearby properties continue to receive a safe and reliable supply of gas.
