We'll shortly resume essential gas network upgrades in the Springfield Road area of Horsham. This work was paused in May 2025 after we encountered engineering difficulties.
Replacing our old metal mains with new plastic pipe will ensure a continued safe and reliable supply of gas is delivered to homes and businesses across Horsham.
Working to keep you safe and warm
What we're doing
We'll be replacing our old metal pipes in the Springfield Road area. This is part of our 30-year programme of work to replace our old mains, reaching the end of their useful lives, with new, reliable plastic pipe.
When we're working
Our work will resume on Monday 5 January and is expected to last approximately three weeks.
Where we'll be working
We'll be replacing our old pipes in Springfield Road, between St John the Evangelist and the Horsham United Reform Church, from Monday 5 January.
To ensure everyone's safety, Springfield Road will be closed to motorists between these two locations. Alternative access routes for affected properties, shops and businesses will be indicated with signage on the road.
We understand roadworks can be frustrating. However, this work is essential to ensuring nearby properties continue to receive a safe and reliable supply of gas.
