Bearwood Road/ Mole Road, Sindlesham

Our contractors, I&G Contractors Limited, are shortly starting work to upgrade the gas network in Sindlesham. The work, which will be ongoing for approximately 16 weeks, involves replacing old, metal pipes with new longer lasting plastic ones to ensure local homes and businesses continue to receive a reliable gas supply.

Work will start Mayfields, St Catherine's Close and St Marys Road, and will then shortly move into Bearwood Road and Mole Road.

Due to the location of the gas pipes in the roads, and for everyone’s safety, the following traffic management will be in place:

  • Bearwood Road - From 23 July for approximately six weeks – the road will be closed from King Street to New Road, and a diversion will be in place along the B3030 and New Road. We will then close Bearwood Road from New Road to Sadlers End and the diversion will be along Mole Road - Sindlesham Road - Eversley Road - Langley Common Road - Barkham Road - Bearwood Road.
  • Mole Road - Once work has been completed in Bearwod Road, engineers will begin work in Mole Road on 1 September for approximately 10 weeks. A diversion will be in place along Sindlesham Road - Eversley Road - Langley Common Road - Barkham Road - Bearwood Road.

We appreciate how disruptive road closures are for residents and road users. Our engineers are committed to doing everything they can to complete these works as quickly and as safely as possible.

If you have any specific questions regarding these works, please email customer@sgn.co.uk.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience this work will cause, and thank local people for their patience and understanding.
